Mostly hand-written HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for speed and longevity, with a content system added when you genuinely need to edit things yourself. We pick the tool that fits how you will maintain the site, not the one that is trendy.
Can you fix a slow website?
Usually, yes. Slow sites are often a handful of fixable problems: heavy images, too many scripts, a bloated theme. We measure first, then fix the things that actually move the load time.
Will I be locked into you to maintain it?
No. You own the code and it is documented so any competent developer can maintain it. We are happy to keep helping, but you are never stuck with us.
